36 days since germ and my girls still have no main starting yet, do the prize winners just grow slow and im worrying to much or are these babies duds?

I've never grown Prize Winners...are they a bush type of pumpkin? If so, I doubt you'll see a main. If they are of the vining type I would think you'd see something that resembles a main vine by now unless environmental conditions are limiting factors....

Thats plenty of sun, my first year growing pumpkins a few years back I had a few non AG's set back from too much soil compaction. Kinda rushed them into the ground with out much prep and that stunted them. Other than that I'm out of ideas.

I'll up load a picture of my prize winners at 4weeks,,,into my grower diary. I'm in the south though so we get a lot more warmth sooner than you do.

I just looked at the pictures from mine at 5 weeks, they had not vined yet, but at week 6 picture they were vinining nicely.....don't worry they are going to explode soon if they have good dirt. I planted a couple of control plants in a separate patch that has had no care to speak of, even though they look like crap they are vining and flowering....now the 'real patch'....can you say more care than a baby fresh off the umbilical....*as she trundles off to see how they are this morning*.
