This is the place for giant pumpkins, everything you need to know is here. Make sure you are here this fall when growers offer seeds for free. These seeds have the gennetics to grow the giants. If you have questions just post a question or look it up in the search box.

Good luck! Last year was my first year growing and the kids and I grew a 94 pounder. It was fun! Who knows if we'll beat that this year, but we have fun trying anyway. I hope you enjoy this fun garden hobby and this is the place to learn more. Here's where I get my soil samples done: http://soiltest.umass.edu/ordering-information If you do a soil test and share the results, I'm sure somebody on here will tell you what you need to do. Only $10 for a soil sample tested at UMass. Cheers!

Good luck to everyone! This is my 3rd growing season for the giants, and it does get better AND more difficult as you learn more....but I say that I grow "baby-giants"!!!! I really do not think I will ever be in the "over-1000-pound-club." But go to diaries and look at what I grew back in early 80's!!! Fun stuff. A great read where you will learn tons is called Backyard Giants. It documents what the Wallace's did back in 2006 in attempting (& succeeding) to break the 1500 mark!!! Great, entertaining book. Best of luck....
