I live in Co. & my vines took off towards Kansas a few weeks ago...I probably need much more room to grow than I have. Anyway, some were hanging over a fence and some just out in the yard, no contact with any good soil. I cut off the hanging-fence ones and also the ones in yard. These were secondaries and some tertiary. Once the pumpkin has started developing, is this the kind of pruning to do? Thanks.
