One of my plants is hammered. Almost no leaves. If I remove everything but the main vine and pumpkin will the pumpkin last a month and not start rotting? or if I cut it now how long do you think it will keep?

I had one on just the main vine last year for 6 weeks. Lasted fine and even made it to a weigh off:)
Keep it covered with a sheet and string a tarp up to keep that late season hot sun we get in California,,,,,,,,,, and you should be fine.
Good luck!

It really depends on the pumpkin, how warm it is outside, if its rainy. Just keep them covered, cool and dry..Wipe them down with a bleach solution every couple days

I did the same in 2011 and kept one on with just 6 feet of vine before pumpkin and 6 feet after for a month cause plant went down to borers. Keep the roots happy and it will last for a while. Still Water, but don't over do it.
