I got this from a University of Wisconsin report on pelletized poultry fertilizer: Analysis Percent Moisture 14.1; Nitrogen 4.438; Organic N 4.218 Ammonium N 0.220; Phosphate 3.233 Potash 2.411; Sulfur 0.42 Magnesium 0.57 Calcium 7.165 PPM Boron 30; Copper 103; Iron 592 Manganese 350; Zinc 256
How much you use depends on your soil test.

Use llama manure instead, does not have to be composted, does not burn the plants, right in to the garden and till it in,fall spring summer does not matter.

DON'T add it in the spring, unless it's been composted for a year. Joe Jutras added too much one fall, and he deeply regretted it the next year--great plants, but crummy pumpkins.
Watch the video "Growing Giant Pumpkins SNGPG Style" for more details.

Go light with it or not at all.We have a composted poultry manure in our area. A 40 lb bag goes a long ways.

Newfie it's hard to say how much for you to use, it depends if it is mixed with bedding or straight manure. Personally I love using chicken manure. I have never burned a plant and I do use fresh. I add an inch or so then I till it in. Chicken manure is loaded with micronutrients and has the highest NPK analysis of any manure that I know of.

It does go along way. It will make grass grow on top of rocks. It will make the vines grow fast and the weeds grow even faster. How much to use...well it just depends on how much your soil needs it. Mine(manure) was sent off for a waste analysis. Basically it came back 27-50-50. I sent off two samples. The one straight out of the house was stronger than the one that had composted for a couple of months but it wasn't much weaker. Now thats out of a commercial house. You wont see any sawdust in mine. If what you get does have it, it's nowhere as strong i'd bet. My patch gets half to an inch before i till it in.
