Its me again seeking more help, i found a spot on stem about the size of my thumb nail tonite, i was wet and soft when i touched it , i put some peroxide on it and it foamed up pretty good , i have the fan on also, is this bad and if so is there anything more i can do ? I posted a pic on diary

See if sulphur powder will dry it out ... If not,dry or gets worse in a day or two scrape off soft area and apply captan powder..keep dry ..not a huge deal but want to nip it in the bud...hopefully others may know a better solution ... Good luck ORV

Thanks once again Porkchop,i put a little sulphur on and fan going, see how it goes, the wife says i worry too much, and i know shes rite.

I spray mine with 50% alcohol.You can buy the bottles at the dollar store already in a spray bottle.I learned this from Joel Jarvis.Alcohol evaporates quickly leaving it dry.

if its soft you should remove the soft material and then treat as recommended here.

I've dealt with stem issues from growing in a shaded, high humidity environment. The rotten brown tissue will not heal, remove and follow above advice. I also put a small fan on it 24/7

Cleaned soft material out and put 90% alcohol on once a day ,have fan running 24/7, spot not getting any bigger and seems dry to the touch, will measure again tuesday

sounds like you got it in time Orv. Make sure you check it closely daily and make sure it doesn't get soft behind the scar.
