I purchased a set of lifting straps from Ray Waterman (P&P Seed), and I need some advice on how to tie off the gathering strap at the bottom. I have seen some with ropes and a loop, that when you loop it back through the friction holds it in place. I think with Ray's strap at the bottom I need a knot or two since it is a flat strap material. Anyone with experience have some advice? thanks

Use a knot. Tie a loop in one end of the rope so you can cinch the rope tight at ground level and then tie a knot.

using a flat strap you cant rely on a friction knot
wrap the strap completely around the strap and then tie a slip knot to the next strap, this will give two anchor points.

I have those straps and use a square knot. Good Luck.
