Will the stuff go bad if I buy it now and store it in my shed until I'm ready to till in the Spring?

I believe mycho is supposed to have a three year shelf life if kept cool or frozen.

(storage info on container? expiration date?)
propagules probably not (should use very fresh)

Now another newbie question: is it recommended to use this in seed starting, transplanting, and vine burying or is it better spread over the entire patch and tilled in?

Just like you said, Seed starting, transplanting and vine burying. I also inoculate cover crops to get a head start on the process.
