Hello all,

I'm a new grower, and was hoping someone would be kind enough to offer some free seeds (for a giant pumpkin). My goal is to try and grow the biggest orange pumpkin I can (that actually resembles the shape and color of a traditional pumpkin). The more I research, the more I realize that genetics play a big role.

I'm from NH, so any advice from those in my area would also be greatly appreciated. I've already had my soil tested, and have an area set aside for the future pumpkin.

As Barry mentioned, there are a number of growers fairly close to you. I'm a few miles north of you (Boscawen) and would be more than willing to help with seeds or plants (email- sgeddes@tds.net). And as VTSteve mentioned, NHGPGA is a great resource for local growers.
