Hi, I am going to try growing a giant this year, and would likely only have about 150 square feet to do so in. I was wondering, when the plant gets big and I don't have anywhere else for the vines to go, do I clip the grow tips so that it can't grow anymore(after making sure I get a pumpkin set)?

I'd bet you will do a lot of pruning to keep it under control...

Yes you can cut the vines and bury them. There's a 150 square foot challenge sponsored by team pumpkin. The record is over 800# I believe so you can still grow a massive kin in a small plot. Good luck.

been doing 150 square feet or less for 10 years..we have harvest many over 600 pounds.....637, 736, 713, 723, 917, 992, 1120....would have been more.......but hail has wiped us out 4 of the ten years...........good luck!
