Just thought I would introduce myself. New giant grower that plans on giving it a shot this spring in Maine. I have around 500 Sq feet that I am dedicating to a plant. Soil test has already been sent out so I can get the amendments added before snow flies. Looking forward to learning all I can over the winter!!

Most folks here are friendly & helpful.
Lots of info to read here.
Everybody will advise you to join your local club & hopefully find a mentor.
If you need seeds, many people here will be happy to provide some if you send a stamped self-addressed bubble mailer.
Or you can bid on some seeds at some of the online auctions this winter.
