Hi my name is Frank, I am going into my 2nd year of growing giant pumpkins and I wanted to learn how online auctions work? I like to know how to register, make bids, and what website to go on for the auction. I was wondering if anyone could help me? My email is frankhem@optonline.net Thank You

The auctions are held in the chat rooms of BigPumpkins.com. No need to register. Just go into the chat room during the auctions and bid away. Good luck.

One more question, how do you pay the person after you win the auction?

Each site will post the information as their auction comes up. Auctions probably will start around middle of December.

Shark, at sometime in the near future...Ken D. (Owner & Operator of this site) will do a random draw for auction dates from all of the clubs that want to hold a live auction on BP.com. Ken will then publish that list of dates & clubs. Soon after that the early dates/clubs will post a list of what is available at their auction. They mostly post a set of rules & contacts for the bidders & winners. This is nice, cause it gives you some time to do research on what you want!! Peace, Wayne

Shark, also...b/4 that happens, several growing groups hold pre-auction (live on bp.com) auctions that are sorta like...silent auctions, they list what seeds, and what time the silent auction ends. i.e. I think that the Kentucky Giant Pumpkin Growers, just sold a 2145 McMullen seed for $725. Don't be askaird now, just cause Halloween is just around the corner!!!! LOL Ton's of incredible seeds will sell at auctions for a lot less $'s. Check out auction board on this site!! Peace, Wayne

Barnesville Ohio silent auction is currently going on right now. It ends at 7pm eastern time tonight. The silent auction I feel is a good way to get your feet wet. It gives one time to think about your bid. The auctions that occur later on in the season in the chat room can get quite hectic. Good luck...
