Clueless here!!! Set the plant in hole, then cut plastic away, & pull the plastic out from under the plant, or leave a little under the plant?!

If the bottom of the bag was left in place the roots would remain healthy as long as water did not pond above the plastic. I also don’t know: are these bags considered disposable or reusable?

I plan on cutting away the bottom first then set in the hole and cut down the side of the bag

Put it on a flat surface such as a 2 by 2 piece of plywood and then cut the plastic sides away. make your planting hole big enough for the root ball and a slope so the plant is tipped say 30 degrees(makes laying the plant down much easier). Then slide the plant into the hole or lift and set in.I compact the dirt(I use garden soil) in the grow bags so it will hold together when I lift it away from the bottom of the grow bag remnant.

The root ball holds together better dryish not wet.
