This is generally a safe place. Remember to follow advice as there are some knowledgeable growers that like to help newbies. No such thing as a dumb question from a newbie.
First thing they will suggest is a soil test and if possible find a mentor in your area.
Welcome to the madness! Answers can sometimes be slow in coming as people are in their patch.

No worries OIO. I would encourage you to read the last two or three pages of the key sections like new growers, water and ferts, general discussion, etc.

It will really help with your basic knowledge. And ask any questions that you cannot find answers to. Good luck on your first season.

Read, read and read! You will learn a lot from the pages on this site. If you can't find what you're looking for, ask. You will get your answer. Just don't always take the first persons response

Find a Mentor in Ohio...is your best change for success. Some of us have facebook pages where we give tips and pictures as the season progresses. Ask lots of questions
