first time to lay plastic down with drip tape... went decently well... put down about 1700ft ,,, will use it for my pumpkins this summer ...
im looking for advice... and have several questions... lol #1 we are getting 1-2 in of rain a week... i opened up a hole and looked at the soil in my raised beds... its wet wet wet (obviously ) ... how in the world will it dry?? when it keeps raining... i know it has to quit raining.. but thats why i went with the raised beds and plastic/drip... so could get away from the constant rains... for about 3 yrs now we are getting several inches of rain .. year round.. planting on regular flat garden spots are no longer an option... so we are moving to raised rows and plastic.... but if the raised rows continue to pull up moisture from the the uncoverd ground in the rows..... how does this do me any good? just frustrated ... and never dealt with it... any advice is appreciated thank you

If your using plastic sheeting to keep weeds down, take it off now. It will not allow soil to dry and will create a hole bunch of issues, that you dont want to deal with. You might want to look into
a weed barrier. It may be a better option.

that makes sense ... i was figuring that,.. no way for it to dry if it stays covered up.. was mainly relying on it to control weeds.... we've had a very cool spring.. nothing is growing much.... i was hoping to cheat a lil and get some warmth out of the plastic and get an early garden in.. but .. it wont stop raining... im blaming everything on rain... thanks for the reply
