clear storage tubs lining fence so think corn or sunflowers to plant as a garden barrier. But how well do those do in raised beds have potatoes growing great in other tubs on north side of place these on south side. Don’t have dirt in yet any ideas, thinking lots of fertilizer.

I cannot find the pictures but there was a very tall sunflower grown a few years ago in the UK that kicked off a 5 gallon bucket challange you will find on the tomato board. I believe if my memory serves me correct the sunflower was above a 2 storey house. Maybe somebody else will have better luck tracing down what started the 5 gallon challange.

The biggest concern I would have with growing things in a tub is that it can get hard to keep moisture in the soil once the plant gets big. If you can figure out how to keep the soil consistently moist I think they will do fine.

As roots don't grow in the light, clear containers probably aren't the best choice...

That one in the UK was a 20 gallon container but these two are in a 5 gallon container

I potted some like chives marjoram items researched a bit more and did dirt mounds with paver stones on dirt to keep from blowing away on tomatoes,& melons. Potatoes are flourishing in clear tubs but some misc tubs are overwatered and I have to tip and pour out excess which loses soi.

You could have a small hole drilled into one corner of each, as low down as possible at the same exact spot on each and if ever needed, a small screw put in to plug it back up - No drainage? make hole slightly bigger...also works great for 55-gallon barrels. - eg

I ended up taking out the ones on south side that over water a lot probably due to mean neighbor and his sprinklers on that side and put em on ground with mound of dirt around

My sunflowers like dark flower pots fine. Drain plug idea I’m one to reuse containers so won’t do that on cheap plastic storage tubs they’ll end up cracking. If I’d go on vacation it’s only for a day or two too much to do at home water other plants take care of puppy though she’ll have a couple days at my brothers while we visit your mom Brandon for her bday.
