at some point between our review of 2005 weighoffs and possible changes or additions to your 2006 program, the subject of growth will come to the forefront
i truely believe we made great strides in 2005 but still have a ways to go
we need to make entry into the gpc less expensive ( especially for the smaller sites and clubs that have limited funding ),expand our steering committee membership rolls and positions ( for example a pumpkin relations person, ( pr ) who would write articles about the gpc , then make these articles available to our clubs for printing in their newsletters
expansion must also enclude additional steering committee members from usa , canada and abroad as well
we may have recorded over 700 pumpkins at gpc sites this year but thats not even half of the pumpkins weighed when you consider all the independent sites out there ( and believe me theres some really good ones
we want a publisist involved to promote the gpc in the areas of sponsorship and awards
