In a year when we saw a slight down turn in overall weights and numbers of fruit shown there was 1 grower who maximized their year. This grower had 5 fruit over 1,400#'s and a top 3 total of 4,477.5#'s beating the previous record of 4,447.5#'s by Dan & Jason Mckie with a 3 fruit average of 1492.5#'s.
This grower is Quinn Werner and with out a doubt earns the best grower in the world title. Congratulations Quinn you are 1 of the most driven person I have ever known and this was no gimme you earned it!!!!
On a final note to put it in perspective if Quinn Werners patch was a site his and Matt's top ten average was 1,277.7#'s. That is right they would have also won the GPC award for best top ten average. I don't know if we will ever see this kind of domination again and I must say Quinn "YOU ARE DA MAN"

Congratulations, I just noticed that at the aggc site, alot of the bigger ones at the top are werners, the thing that really got me was that they were all grown off different seeds, I mean he got them to grow that big no matter what the seed.

Congrats Quinn! not only does he know how to tweak his soil to its maximum potential and knows how to grow huge year after year after year after year, hes with out question the best grower out there when it comes to new (and old) seed selection, how he analyzes each seed and knows its going to grow huge every year is beyond me!! Hes got a knack when it comes to studying genetics and crosses and then knowing what he wants to plant, hes the best at this.
I think he has a laboratory in his basement or something, lol!
Congrats again Quinn! Brooks

Quinn, I wanted to let the dust settle a bit before I wrote this. I am truly in shock and aw at what you continue to do year after year. I mean man you absolutely must have air in your shoes and leave no foot prints behind in the soil. The few times we have talked together I am always left with such a calm demeanor about you. Your thumb must be greener than any others.
Have a wonderful off season, Congratulations on an enormous year.
Good Luck & Good Growing
