Are you sick of the snow? Is your moral lower than the nightly low temperature? Do you find your self day dreaming about warm breezes, sunny skies, sandy beaches, tropical islands?
Well we have the cure for you!!! The "Pumpkin Cruise II" raffle is a good way to get a chance to cruise away next winter!!! The tickets are going faster the colder it gets and it is looking like we will be drawing a winner in Niagara.
Tickets are only $20 each and 6 for $100 with only 200 to be sold the odds are really good in this one time raffle. Please help us to help you and get your tickets today and then get to Niagara to see if you win!!!

In 1 year from now all the HH will be there having fun and giving up all of their info. I hope to see all of our loyal growers on the cruise and thank you for supporting the GPC!!!

Kinda scary to see a 1 eyebrow dude in a wig and dress LOL!!!
With the cruise 1 year away I would like to compare temps. and see how we compare next year on the cruise. This morning I had -11.2 F I am sure we will have better weather during the cruise. We could possibly have a 100 degree temp change next year at this time and that alone is a 100 reasons to get a raffle ticket to come along!!!

Jim you will need more than a razor. Better to bring the hedge clippers or sheep shears....The only way to see it is on the cruise....

Argh, another 10 to 15" of snow today here, Dave. I really need winter to end right now. We had that cold snap two days ago with -25 to -30F* this week in the mornings...it was so cold the tires went flat on my car...
One good thing is all this cold kills off the northern progression of the squash vine borer.
I can't wait for the cruise next year. In fact I'm going to let my wife pick out some nice big diamond earrings during our island stops. Jewelry is about 1/3 the cost back here at home.
Joan Gibson has really weaved a marvelous trip for us this time.

I almost forgot about all the discounted duty free shopping there is and the Caribbean is the best place in the world to buy jewelry.
I liked the Del Sol t-shirts they are black and white in the shade and when you get them in the sun they turn into the nicest colors it is really cool.
I know a lot of growers are going to the Bacardi Rum factory again to get some very cheap rum for the cruise and after. They told me last time the boat that took them over had a punch bowl the size of a laundry tub full of rum punch plus all the rum sampling at the factory. Let me tell you there was not a dry eye in the house after that excursion!!!
Just think this could all be yours for just $20 for 1 ticket in the GPC cruise raffle. A beautiful balcony stateroom which will have a whole lot better view than the cold and snow we are looking at now!!!

Why must you be mean and rub it in for the people who can't afford to go? If someone enters the raffel they have a half percent chance of winning....Not good odds at all....Nothing wrong with talking about the cruise but talking how warm it is....That is really messed up

Peep. I don't know who you are but nobody ever said vacations like this were cheap. This is a first class cruise with first class people enjoying what, for many is the culmination of years of hard work and toil. You simply can't get any higher value then parting for a full week with like minded friends from all over the world. This is a priceless event that is being run again based on popular demand.

WOW, I think you should chill out and take your meds. Aren't you 13 yrs old?, atleast that is what you told people. Ask mommy and daddy to take you on a vacation. These people work their tails off all year and are excited to take a vacation, yes a nice vacation that costs a bit, but they can afford it, like most adults who have a decent job. Of course they are flaunting the temps....its a vacation to the tropics and they are excited. Not only are these guys decent people, I've met them all, they go out of their way to help growers and the sport. You are beyond disrespectful, and if you were my kid, I'd be giving you a good old fashioned whooping. I can't really understand what set you off, but you'd better chill in life kid, in these parts you'd become a statistic real fast. I personally think we should all contact Ken and get this socially inept kid banned.

Giant Pumpkin Peep as in real life you only get one name. Every time someone posts it is a way for fellow growers to get to know them. A small sample but in many cases it is all we have. If you are 13 please take this advice as you go through life you only get one name; it should be your goal to keep it a good name.

Giant Pumpkin peep if the content at the start of this thread offends you then I must apologize I did not realize I was getting out of hand.
Please understand the GPC committee members work very hard all year long trying to obtain funds to better serve all growers. This vacation was donated to us by Eddy Z. (ice man) so we could generate more cash flow and we want to make the most of it so his gesture does not go in vane.
Besides the raffle we are always looking for more activities to help pay back all of the pumpkin widows for their time and efforts to help us crazies pursue our passion. This cruise is not only about getting quality 1 on 1 time with the HH but to spend time with family and friends who will attend this cruise.
As far as the money I know Carol and myself save for 2-3 years to do a big vacation like this and believe me it will be worth every penny. You could also look at it like this - if I win then I will only need $1,200 - $1,500 for a flight for 2, 1 night stay in Puerto Rico and spending cash for the week. Last cruise we spent about $300 and most of that was on tipping and we had a great time.
So ask yourself 1 question what does 1st or 2nd pay at Chillicothe, Canfield, and Oakland nurseries? I think you will find out it is more than you would need to attend the cruise. If you finished 1 or 2 at 2 of these weigh-offs then you wouldn't even need to win the raffle.
I am a life long Buckeye no matter where I have lived and it hurts even worse when a fellow Buckeye takes a shot at me and my fellow committee members.
Lastly I must admit that Tom, Quinn, Chad, Wayne, & CM you guys made me laugh, no disrespect peep but they did have funny posts. I will ask 1 last favor please don't use profanity on a public message board no matter how bad of a day you have had.
