Hello, the weigh off is to the door 09/13 but still I got not the Box with the ribbons, If the box will not arrive in time for the weigh off I will do a disgraceful with the rest of my club, but also the GPC will do same. Why after if you get the payment don't send immediately everything to the club??? I remember was the same problem last year with Foiano weigh off with the Banner I hope all this message will be for nothing, and that tomorrow or aftertomorrow the ribbons will arrive, in opposite case I think my club will want back the $200 and no more GPC in future I'm so sorry for this, but I'm only a member of the club, and now I'm under pression cause the ribbons! Regards Sergio

Hi Sergio.
I sent your package the same day that I sent to Ludwigsdorf, Germany. They got theirs a few days ago - last Saturday, I believe. I hope it arrives soon, please let me know.

We clearly need to either find new shipping options or send Italian weighoff packages much earlier than everyone else. This isn't the first time Sergio & the GPC got doggged by shipping. I am so sorry this has happened.

May I suggest ALL European packages.... We are waiting ours still too. But still one week until weigh off though. And since I have been dealing our club seeds few years, I know that at least Finnish custom might keep all kind of packages 2-3 weeks, lol. Hope not this time!

part of the problem always was the deadline for entry confirmation. the gpc cant order the ribbons / plaques until they know how many sets to order. then comes the crush to get them shipped and in your hands in time. possibly an earlier deadline could be discussed ?

You could choose another method, probably cheaper and safer. Isn´t steel (Heino Helbock) the European coordinator for the GPC? Sending all stuff to him and distributing from his place? Safe money on shipping, avoiding custom problems in different countries.

Sounds good idea pap. So when were those ribbons ready this year (if they all are ready before you send/give any of them out)? Since ours were sent to us one week ago. You must be busy sending them out all at once, since ofcourse you sent European ribbons first because it takes longer from them to get here over seas. Thanks for the info.

Good idea floh, but how could they then be earlier at the final destinations if going thru Austria? If the ribbons now were ready to give out only some weeks ago? Well lets hope all goes well this year, long winter time to think how to deal things smoothier next year :) Happy weigh offs to everyone!

We have had a bad 2 years getting the GPC prize package in and shipped to our European sites. We will be reviewing this procedure in our winter meetings and hopefully avoid this issue in the future.
Pap knows all to well about getting the prize packages out as he did it for a few years for the GPC. It has been painfully obvious that Pap is no longer doing it. I will assure you this will be much better in the future and thank you for your patience.

Here's a thought. Clubs & weighoffs that know for sure they will remain GPC sanctioned can be offered an incentive to register earlier. See my idea on the committee board.

Ingo, thank you for your suggestion. We have tested that method last year with the banners for a couple of sites. I was to no avail as the shipping costs were in fact higher and no time was saved at all.

Ribbons for Schönebach (bavaria) came in today, so everything is ok here! I got them just in time, but it would be great to get them some days earlier in the futur. Good luck to all!
