My personal favorite category Grower of the Year or GOTY as we like to call it. Right now I am not sure who has what as it is still just mid way in the weigh-off season. I do know Carol & myself have 3 official entries at 3 different sites 1021 - 1248 - 1662.5 = 3931.5. but I know that won't stand for long. I also know we are not done yet and will improve on that total. Please let us know who has what so far.

4277 Harp, 4156.5 Werner, 4122 Rose, 4081.5 Snyder, 3922.4 Gronski, 3819.5 Parks,
I think this is the top 5 unless someone added data to the pumpkinweigh off results since noon 10/5.

What's the all-time largest number for the three largest of GOTY? If Chad Revier has a good one for Stillwater, it could be interesting.

Quinn Werner set the mark at 4,477.5#'s I know there are a couple guys out there that could challenge this number. I feel we could see our first entries into the 4,500# club this year.

Up date for the GOTY
Chad Rivier - 1579 + 1544.5 + 1425 = 4,548.5 Jerry Rose - 1549 + 1456 + 1389.5 = 4,394.5 Ron Wallace - 1596 + 1395.5 + 1341 = 4,332.5 Christy Harp - 1725 + 1316 + 1236 = 4,277 Jerry Snyder - 1375.5 + 1362.5 + 1341 = 4,079
Chad Rivier is the leader in the club house right now and has earned a new patch for his coat the 4,500# club. Chad is the first grower to average over 3 - 1,500# fruit awesome job!!!
All these growers are first time 4,000# club members with Jerry Snyder earning a coat for his accomplishment. Christy will get a couple patches on her coat 4,000# & the new 1,700# patch.
I would be negligent if I did not add that Quinn Werner has extended his mark of 4,000# plus average for his top 3 pumpkins to 3 years. He is the only grower to obtain this mark for 3 consecutive years and had a great finish for a very hard year for him.
All the pumpkins have not been weighed yet but we are close who will be the winner and top 3 for the GOTY???

GOTY top 3
Don Young - 4,613 - Don is also the first grower to have grown 3 pumpkins over 1,600#'s congratulations Don that is awesome!!!
Chad Revier - 4,548.5 - Chad was the GPC rookie of the year for 2008 now a 1,500#+ average for 3 pumpkins!!! This just makes me wonder what he is going to do for 2010!?!?!?! Thanks for the correction on the spelling Billy.
Jerry Rose - 4,394.5 - Jerry the youngest old grower I know and the consummate competitor. I know every time I went to a weigh-off with you I was at least going to be second excellent job my friend!!!

Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible
I think this defines Christy, Don, Chad, Jerry, Art, John, Henry, Nick, Caleb and Glenn for they have all had outstanding seasons.
