Bidding opened Sunday evening Dec. 13th at 7 pm EST Sunday and ends December 20th 2009 at 7pm EST.

Bidders can post individual bids under their Lot and set or seed of choice by stating your BP Handle and the Price to Bid. Bidders must email Joe at the address below by real name, address & telephone number at the time of their first bid.

Bid increments of $5.00

I am very happy to announce that the GPC fund raising campaign is nearing completion. We are now approaching our goal set forth by Dave Stelts early last month. Therefore this will be the last series of auctions for the season.

Ending one week earlier than planned the web auctions have been a fabulous success once agian this year.

The GPC sets the recognized standard for all world records in the curcurbita maxima family as used by Guinness for their World Record endeavors. GPC growers have set the World Records for the last 15 years. The approaching milestone of 2000 pounds will continue to drive and advance this hobby to lofty goals. Research and development supported by the GPC and its supporting clubs have enabled growers to make giant strides in the agricultural community. Annual weight records have been challenged repeatedly as the current world record of 1725 pounds (set this October 3, 2009.) is once again soon to be eclipsed.

The GPC strives to foster an environment friendly approach using basic organic techniques that has shown extreme fruit development can be obtained with out harming our surroundings. The GPC's mission cultivates the hobby of growing giant pumpkins throughout the world by establishing standards and regulations that ensure quality of fruit, fairness of competition, recognition of achievement, fellowship and education for all participating growers and weigh-off sites.
