From the GPC stand point the GPC will not get involved with legislation governing seed sales. The GPC is not here to police the seed auctions or seed sales by individuals for personal gain. The GPC operates under the mission statement below:

MISSION STATEMENT: The Great Pumpkin Commonwealth’s (GPC) mission cultivates
the hobby of growing giant pumpkins throughout the world by establishing standards and
regulations that ensure quality of fruit, fairness of competition, recognition of
achievement, fellowship and education for all participating growers and weigh-off sites.

The GPC does support the clubs that make up the inner frame work of The Great Pumpkin community. The GPC does understand the issues involved in obtaining funding to operate this ever growing sport/hobby of ours.
