Was looking over the rules and noticed this:

3) The GPC will
only recognize one award
per fixed address per class.

Is this new? I'm glad if it is, maybe this will prevent some of the "hey, look at this 2000 pound pumpkin my 8 year old grew--just so happened to be 100 lbs less than mine"

After re-reading I think you're right Sheriff.

Yeah, that comes down to grower ethics. Can't do much to change that.

Wolf,.The intent of the rule is to keep a second or third fruit from placing and cashing under the guise that someone else in the family grew it.It also encourages growers to support more than one contest.

"Honesty and ethics" ...and integrity are common in this hobby
but not invariable!

Rules need to be fair,clear,save and need to be protected by penalties for contraventions!
