Is there going to be Zoom or recorded copy of the Convention seminars available for purchase this year?

Just wondering if Danvers has any COVID mandates.

This last variant has a lot of places going full out COVID mandates again. Apparently the person who brought it to US was fully vaccinated. Anyways, a plan B for back up would prudent in my opinion.

No we don't have plans for a recorded convention.
Currently there are no mandates in Danvers at this time. We will continue to monitor for any changes and advise. The new variant appears not to be as once thought so far.

For the future, perhaps, I would suggest looking into recording the individual presentations and having the videos available after the Convention, for a fee. I'm not necessarily suggesting a live stream of the entire Convention. I would think that there are a lot of folks who can't make it to the Conventions, who would still pay a reasonable fee, to watch the presentations afterwards. You could setup a survey on the GPC website to gauge interest. Personally, I watched the virtual convention last year and signed up for the clubs that offered Spring meetings online too. They were very informative. The content is available to a much larger audience, than it would otherwise be, this way too. I don't have any idea what the overhead and costs would be to do sometihng like this. Perhaps it is cost prohibitive. I was just wondering if it would be feasible down the road and if it was looked into. Thank you for all that you and the rest of the GPC Committee do.

1,2,3 smart phone(s) Velcroed to each wall of each presentation; No movement, no obstructions; Each video then funneled to one link for compilation and each smart phone's owner would be in the room(s) to monitor and tend to said smart phones; I think this might be called 'crowd sourcing'? Just an idea, but even WE all were at one time or another---eric g

FWIW - I agree with Pumpkin Envy's post reply: for those of us with a strong desire to attend the IGC, but are encumbered with family/work commitments, etc., would gladly pay a fee to get access to video content of the educational sessions.
