Just wanted to say on reflection about tonight's debate regarding genetics being affected by the environment that I agree with Tom B. I felt in retrospect when I stated that I love critcal thinking that it was taken the wrong way when i was asked if I was playing the devil's advocate and I answered yes. In this case I do truly side with Tom's argument. I do beleive that environment affects genetics...albeit slowly..we do intervene and are a component or parameter of the "environment" in that we control variables and speed up natural selection based on the fact that we plant seeds with desirable characteristics or traits etc. To me this is no brainer but didn't want to be misquoted. Thanks for the opportunity to clarify. Deb
Thanks for listening, Deb
