I don't know if anyone has paid that much attention to this seed much but I been looking at this seed on the AGGC, and every pumpkin that this seed has grown has all went heavy, yes a small few went heavy by a small percent but for the most part, most of the 1502's went extremely heavy to the charts.
I think this year is the time to grow this seed if you got it, if not send it to me cause Ill probably wont be able to find one next year, them Wallace seeds becomes scarce around these parts, lol

The Wallaces sent me such great seeds I can't make up my mind what to grow, now I'm leaning toward the 1502.

I am going to cross a 1502 with the 1402, I am pretty sure it will be thick and heavy.

Where have you been Brooks? I wrote some werious stats for this seed for our auction this year. The 1502 should be in much higher demand than it is.
Maybe 1689 x 1502? or vice versa?

yes the 1470 was thicker than the 977
its not surprising because the 1354 plant that pollinated the 1068 to make the 1502 also grew the 977 in 2006

On Ron's advise I'm crossing the 1502 with the 1350 and vice versa this year. Hopefully make a killer cross for next year.

As of today, my 1502 cross is with the 1402.5 Bobier. That brings 723 into a new generation and reinforces the 1068 gene.

HA....I was not going to post it but I was planning on the 1502 X 898 Knauss..... However a wise master told me to cross his 1502 with the 842 Eaton....now which should I do? Of course we got to get that 898 popping first....makes ya almost want to grow a couple on each plant.......

Brooks, sometimes there are secrets that we growers like to covet. The 1502 WAS one of them! This is why prices go so high! Some things are better left unsaid in public places. LOL

Wiz, send me the 898, then it is simple! I understand that the wise master has led you to the 1502 x 842...but if the stars lead you,the KGPG could do a 1502 x 898!!! LOL

I would love to get my hands on the 1502 ;) so if anyone is feeling generous or loking to make a friend for life heh. would love to be one of the ones who grows this monster this year. I have posted for the 1689 Jutras as well, but that is a shot in the dark for sure, this one is a shot in the dark, but there is a little flashlight of hope lol.
hope everyone is starting to gear up for the 2008 season!! Good luck to all Grow Em Big
