It is always fun to talk about which seeds to plant for the up coming season. I thought I would get opinions. I only have room for one plant, but will start a few and cull down to one. My choices are 1016 daletas, 1408 daletas, 1010 daletas, and 1180 pukos. When I cull down to one, I will try to keep a second plant long enough to pollinate with as well for a cross. Any opinions are welcome! Jim

The 1010 and 1180 would be my front runners.

I like the 1408 Daletas, especially for a Southern California grower. Michelle Lofthouse grew one over 1100 pounds from the 1408 Daletas last year...and she lives near Los Angeles.

the 1408 did well for me last year 1170 lbs... but it was dmg. if it could have made it- it would have been the new state record. you can see pictures in my 08 diary. of course the other seeds are good as well. it might come down to which one looks best at the time you cull. gordon

Hey Bodene,
Send me a self addressed stamped bubbler, the 1016 is yours my friend. Send me a private email and I will give you my address.

I don't think the 1016 will see dirt to be honest, so I would rather let you grow it! It definitely isn't worthless lol!

Very generous Jim! The seed can't grow a pumpkin unless it's planted. 1016 can throw some nice lookers.
