Just wondering if anyone is growing this one. Cliff Picketts quietly grew the heaviest pumpkin in Eastern Canada, 1315 Picketts, off his own 1098- 1219 Colbert ( which is the same cross as 1093 Hunt and 1228 Jutras ) x 723 Bobier. It wasn't the largest in Windsor, but it was a rock. Very tempting to skip the beauty contest and go for a beast.

I believe Edmund Hemphill is growing it Andy. Clifford sent me a few 1098 seeds shortly after the weighoff. I sent one out to Edmund approx 1 month ago. I planned on growing it myself until i picked op a 664.5 Liggett. That was a great looking pumpkin the 1098 grew.

Wow, good for you Carl picking up that 664. I look forward to seeing how you make out with it. As for the 1098, a generous grower surprised me with one, very large fat seed.

I did a little jig when that one arrived safely. I'm extreemly excited about growing it. The 1287 Vankooten held up nicely and with a little luck the 664.5 will too.
