I was wondering about this one as well. I don't have AGGC access currently(I need to renew my membership). If my memory is correct, the 971 had quite nice shape and color, and went heavy to the chart.....can someone confirm this? This could be a sleeper seed.

You can get basic information on AGGC without a membership. According to AGGC the 971 Sperry was 4.44% over the chart. Pumpkinlink.com doesn't list it for some reason. You can find progeny there if the pumpkin is listed.

To my supprise, Sperry had sent me one with his LG seeds and I was overwelmed! I really can't thank Steve enough except to grow it! Having heard how all the HH pack hundreds of bubbles, I really didn't want to bother them but for LG there is not much choice. It was an instant pick for my patch, but it was really aggresive and split in presoak, germed then rotted (my mistake). I had told folks to get it and was suprised it was still available, and I really want to grow this, so I bought the 3 available seminar seed ...Sorry.
