I was hoping for some additional background information on the 1596 Werner grown in 2010. It seems that the seeds from that pumpkin have produced a high number of pumpkins weighing over 1,500 pounds. There may be a few others, but as far as I know, only the 1725 Harp, 1161 Rodonis, 1421 Stelts, & 1495 Stelts have grown as many or more over 1,500 pounds. However, it also seems like there have not been as many 1596's grown compared to some of the other hottest seeds out there in recent years. I also believe that there aren't many more 1596's left out there to be grown in the future. Did that pumpkin have a low seed count? Does anyone have an idea on why more have not been grown? Unless I'm missing something, it seems like it is a seed that quality wise is right up there with the best of them. Thanks!

Good seed, dont have any info on seed count. I didn't like it cause tended to produce wheel shaped fruit. Try A 1730 werner. Long pumpkins on both sides(half 1596).
