I work with GMO corn, soybean and cotton. All have Bt genes for caterpillar resistance and most have multiple herbicide tolerance (i.e., cotton tolerant to both glyphosate (Roundup) and glufosinate (Liberty) with 2-4-D and dicamba tolerance coming soon. All of the players (Monsanto, Bayer, Syngenta, etc.) are huge global corporations. If it were possible, the registration of a SVB-resistant genetically-altered pumpkin line would cost millions of dollars - probably several hundred million. If you and your stakeholders are multi-millionaires, perhaps you might look into it.

On the other, get yourself some of DuPont's Coragen and use that at the base of the plants, as a foliar and applied through the drip and you will not likely deal with SVB as a pest

No need to go GMO route a breeding program can do it with interspecific crosses. An example butternut (cucurbita moschata) squash are resistant to SVB. Cross it into a atlantic giant (cucurbita maxima). If you can get some of the other wilder species you may also get virus resistance. Lot of interesting reading on this.

I already have BC1s in regard to what VTWilbur is talking about. Its part of my masters project, and I am looking to improve several genes.
