when you going for a wr every year you push to the limits of the fruit. at times this results in a rib split-etc.for many reasons. i would not be afraid to plant any of steves seeds. dmg or not. pap

cruiser, his weather this summer was warmer then usual. The pumpkins were all doing great numbers late. The 1700 and 1800 pound kins he was growing were still doing in the double digits. A few 90 plus degree days then lows in the 50's was just to much temp swing.
WiZ is right, our weather can be a cruel thing sometimes....
