Hi growers hope all is well I have a question 2014 I grew Joels 1791 the kin I grew was small but that was from lack of experience in several areas soil out of balance /improper pruning ect. I did end up with several seeds I did sell poll through the winter I have been germing them with almost 100% success my question is will the seeds still produce good results and weights I really like the genetics Wallace, stelts thanxs trac

The answer is you won't know unless you grow them... they could be better..or worse..or the same...
question - in your question the second sentence starts off- " I did end up with several seeds I did sell poll through the winter... I am confused as to what sell poll through the winter means.
100% germination is nice sounds like you have your technique down...plant one and see what it does for ya - Mitch

On paper it should be a good cross. However Ag's cant read lol. I agree with the cheddster- the only way to know is to grow it. And that's true with any unproven cross. Some are duds some behave as expected etc. If you go with something else grow a few of your seeds on the edge of the patch to see what qualities the plants have-you can try it in 2016 if they show promise

Dear trac, did you read my response in one of the previous threads, where you had posted a similar question?

http://www.bigpumpkins.com/msgboard/ViewThread.asp?b=19&p=536110

I thought it should already have answered your question. Dear other growers (cheddah, cojoe)...what have I done wrong in my attempt at answering trac´s question so that basically the same questione needed to be asked again???

@pumpking....I am not sure ...after reading your link to the prior thread I thought your answer/explanation was great,,, perhaps trac was just looking for more feedback,,, but your answer to the basically same question I thought was spot on...didn't the 50 Todd grow a 1500 lb pumpkin or something in that neighborhood ?

Hi cheddah, thank you for your reply. It´s good to see that native speakers get the info out of my message which I intended to put into this message. Looks like trac indeed wants to get some more feedback (and the positioning of the initial question, hidden in this other thread, probably wasn´t helpful to attract other readers).
