My goal is to grow the 1374 Engel, I have two seeds. I grew a 158 lbs kin from a 1490 Holland last year. I only want to use these seeds as back ups due to the low weight of the pumpkin. My question is should I just get different seeds all together for back ups?

If I were you I would ask Shannon for some 781 seeds for your backup.

I could give you a couple of my 1047.5 seeds for backup. They are selfed 359 Foss, similar genetics to the 1374.

I can't argue with Shannon or Bill on this. Shannon's seeds are doing very well in the world of orange. Grow one of these for sure.. If you have room for a second plant grow one of your own. I always get great satisfaction from growing my own stuff.. This is just my opinion..
