I am not sure exactly, I know that Steve Daletas grew a 1230 and 1016 on the same plant....

I know, but it's the only one that was well known. I don't know if guys grow plants that way anymore. It would be interesting to find out!

Tom Swain - 1287 and 1104 on the same plant in 2014. That's the best I know of.

John Castellucci grew 4 pumpkins on one plant for a total weight of 2600 lbs back in 1997.

i wonder if the second pumpkin is grown on an early side vine or one closer to the MV pumpkin would make a cool contest Darren...2391 lbs on one plant is pretty cool

Here is a cool way to think of it...2391 pounds in one plant! So with that logic we know that one plant could grow or gave enough energy to grow a single 2391 pound pumpkin!

I usually grrow 2 pumpkins per plant due to deer and woodchuck pressure. The 1287 and 1104 were on soil where I had never grown before and was previously covered by a greenhouse.
The 1287 (1791 Holland X 1813 Northrup) was on the main vine about 18 feet out. The 1104 was a later open pollination and was on the first side vine from the stump out about 7 feet - it still had growth in it until freezing temperatures did it in.
