Not sure if this is the correct board but here goes. A couple a years back I grew blue moon pumpkins and crossed a few with 675 Maydan * AG squash. My concern, I want to grow a squash this season and a 500 lb give or take is fine. Can I expect that kind of result with this cross?

Hey Andy that is an interesting cross. I actually have a packet of those seeds that I got in the exchange, I have them on my list of things to plant this year. No one can know for sure what will happen but my guess is you will likely get a bunch in the 100-200 pound range. I grew out an AGxRed Kuri cross a few years back that I got in the seed exchange from Bill Foss. In many ways I would call that a comparable cross. As the Red Kuri are about the same size as the Blue moon squash. Here is what they turned out like. Perhaps they would have gotten bigger with thinning. This is off two plants. http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=298117

That's quite a haul and exactly what I'm looking for, except in bluish green, thanks.

The cross should be considered a squash since both are in the color ranges. The size probably will be between 100-200lbs and not 500lbs.

I was thrilled with the harvest but 2018 was one of those years for me that nothing seemed to go right. I had squirrels burrow through almost every one of those pumpkins and they ate the seeds out. That had never happened before and has never happened since. I was so disgusted as those same squirrels had just wiped out my late sweet corn. Who knew that gray squirrels could do that?

I got it to reach 60 lbs, which isn't huge but it was about twice as large as a buen gusto de horno x Wallace cross I planted last year. It was a nice blue/gray hue.

Turned out great, my only regret is not letting the plant get bigger. By far the most aggressive growing AG plant ever. Unfortunately the plant stopped growing after fruit set. The plant size was about 100 square feet and the fruit was about 100 lbs. beautiful shape. Will post pics soon.
