These heavy duty soil heating cables are 40 ft. in length and are 4 to 5 times thicker than standard cables. They have a built in thermostat set to 74 degrees F. This is a great way to warm up the root zone in the Spring. The cables may be left in place all season. As the soil warms, they will only turn on when the soil temps fall below 74. The suggested retail on these professional quality cables is over $56. without shipping. We buy in large quantity at an an early season discount, and can offer them at $48.50 which includes delivery! Discounts on larger purchases. See details on the Growing Supplies page at www.hollandsgiants.com

Tom, or Joel... never had the need for soil heating cables, but if you were planting 2 plants back to back, growing away from each other...could one set of cables be set up to heat the soil enough for 2 plants? Just curious? Peace, Wayne

I wouldn't plant the AG's so near that one cable would fit both

Sorry, I have not checked in for awhile. The cables are 200 watts and 1.7 amps. I use 1 cable per plant. I have heard of some growers who plant back to back using 1 cable for both plants. The cables are not designed to connect together. I demonstrate in my 07 DVD installing a 40' heavy duty cable. Thanks.
