We wanted to start by thanking everyone at the Niagara Convention for all of the Kind comments and good feedback!
After talking in depth with a few very experienced and well known growers that successfully used CO2 last season, and Neil Anderson of RTI about CO2 and its application rates we learned that diluting one tablespoon per gallon of water, and applying a gallon of the diluted CO2 as a foliar spray per plant every two weeks, or half strenght every week, produced very positive results. It is very important to try to get the spray on the top and bottom of the leaves for best results.

Tom,
So if a punkin grower had a lot of area to cover what would the recommended amount of CO2 powder be for a hose end sprayer like Miracle Gro? It would take 4-ever with a hand pump sprayer...

I agree that it would take forever, a gas powered sprayer would be more efficient. One thing to remember, when the application says apply over 2000 sq ft, it is referencing 2000 sq ft of plant, not patch, this changes the amount of area that we are spraying. As far as a miricle gro hose end sprayer, I couldnt tell you, I dont think that you can adjust the dilution rate, I would recommend against using it.

Tom, thanks for the info. Pkg instructions call for 4 oz. per Gallon. Much lower rate is better, I see. Also, per plant is sorta confusing?? Plant size differs...smaller in spring, larger later on?? Any ideas? Thanks for all you do!! Peace, Wayne

The concentration is fine for young leaves, I wont start spraying until June. Wayne, per plant when larger, you dont need to spray until run off, we just need to cover the leaves, great question, thanks! Ejab- yes we carry it and we can ship into Canada.
