Jim Ford has been growing pumpkins for 20 years and growing Dill's Atlantic Giants for 10. He has been growing competitively for 4 years. Jim's personal best is an 1121 grown in 2003 and weighed at Topsfield, MA. He is a member of the NHGPGA and BigPumpkins.com where his nickname is "bears". Jim is the Agricultural supervisor of a farm based ministry (HIS MANSION) helping young adults with life altering problems. He has incorporated growing AG's for fun and teaching.
Ponderings from the Pumpkin Patch is a new book for giant pumpkin growers everywhere. Jim details his experiences with our exciting hobby/sport from one of the hottest pumpkin growing locations on earth (the state of New Hampshire)!
- Not a how to book - Based on personal experience growing pumpkins - Filled with life lessons and spiritual analogies gleaned from the patch - Written with the motivation of appreciation for the pumpkin community

PONDERINGS FROM THE PUMPKIN PATCH was a product of my appreciation for the pumpkin community and my love for growing pumpkin and my faith. My desire is that you have this book and that you join me in my experiences in the patch. I have decided to offer this book for the taking for any one who wants one. I have adopted a “What ever you think it’s worth” policy to help to cover the cost of printing. Thanks for your interest in this book and hope you enjoy it. Jim Ford

Thanks Bears, I've been gardening for 10 years.I love being out in my garden working. It's about 60 X 90. I grew pumpkins this year. I had a couple 120 pounders. This gave me the itch for trying to grow a really big one, I like to experiment. Thanks for the offer of the book, I'll send an envelope asap. Thanks again Brad

Jim, Your book is a masterpiece. Thanks, for taking the time, to put another perspective into achievement, for others, to read. My wife and I wish, to help your clients discover the joys, of growing, by your teachings.
I look forward, to meeting you, at Niagara this Spring.
