my soil test came back from umass with a note reading the lead level in this soil is low. I called them but they do not give recomendations regarding the test. also, how important is the level of manganese?

Mn is important in relation to Fe. You should have a 2/1 relationship with Fe/Mn. However, high OM likes to tie up Mn so consider that also.
Regarding its affect upon growth, I have not a clue. I have always had deficiencies with it but grew a state record last year. This year I am supplementing in the water source so we will see.
