I received my soil test and it calls for some CaC03. Im not sure if this is just regular lime or can I use dolomitic lime?

If you need to raise PH..add dolomitic lime
If you just want to add calcium with no PH adjustment..add gypsum

Depends on mg level and saturation. Dolomitic lime will increase magnesium. Calcitic lime will not. Calcitic lime has a magnesium % of 1-6 where as Dolomitic lime has > 6% magnesium. The amount of CaC03 is 100% pure calcium carbonate needed. Each type of lime has a % of CaC03 known as the Calcium Carbonate Equivalent (CCE). Here's a general idea of each type.
Hydrated lime =140%
Burnt lime = 180%
Dolomitic lime = 70-95%
Ground limestone = 70-95%
Pelletized lime = 70-95%
Each bag of lime will gave this value on it.
Take the number and make it a decimal and divide soil test CaC03 number by it. This will tell you how many # of that type you need.
Example: test CaC03 = 50, using Pelletized lime with 70% cce.
50/.70=71.4#
