Iam looking for the reason the sulfur ppm went from 34 in the spring to 74 in this falls soil test. I put a lot of coffee grounds in to the soil, could this be the cause? No gypsum was added.Used Kelp/calcium spray, Jacks 20/20/20,and the run of the mill bug spray and fungicides. Any help would be appreciated.

Sampling Method? Coffe Grounds contain some Sulfer but you would have to add a lot to raise your nutrient levels that high

I could have got a concentration of coffee at one sample site. I hope it was a bad test. We will see on the spring test.

What would the implication of high S be on the soil for next year. My S level is 30ppm but after adding some needed 0-0-50 (9lbs) and epsom salts (1lb), the end level of S is looking to be 106ppm.

I wonder if this is an issue?

Might be that elemental sulfur has been converted to sulfate. The soil test measures sulfate? i dont believe youre levels are a problem. Plants will consume a lot of sulfate next year
