I got my soil test and my calcium is at 1838. I here it should be around 3000. So my question is how to raise it up? I was thinking oyster shells but how many per 1000 sq ft? Pleae help.

Please don't try to take a ppm and raise any level, you need to look at your soil test as a whole, so many levels will affect others.
If you have a soil test report, send it to me and i'll read it for you and make recommendations.

Oyster shells are nearly pure calcium carbonate which means they are a liming agent. If you ph is low they will help but like Tom said you need to look at the whole picture. Referencing a single nutrient and forgetting the others is like asking a mechanic to fix an engine noise but you only brought him the tire.

Tom will steer you in the right direction. send him your test.

seriously though will dry wall work to raise Cal levels ? or does is have other stuff in it thats bad ?

Is it even cheaper than Garden variety gypsum ?

I would just use garden gypsum. you can find it for like $5 a 50lbs bag. who know what they may be puting in wall board, don't think they have pumpkins in mind when there making it:)
