My soil test is good except for two items. I need more Potassium and Magnesium. Normally this would be easily fixed with K-Mag especially since it is recommending 4 lbs K2O and 2 lbs Mg per 1000 sq feet. The problem is my Sulfur is 161 ppm or Very High according to their test. What fertilizer or fertilizers can I apply to get the recommended amount of K and Mg without adding Sulfur. Thanks

Dolomite might be a good choice for magnesium if your calcium levels aren't too high.

Potassium bicarbonate won't raise your sulfur levels, but is a little pricey. Potassium silicate would be a better choice.

Lime will help lower your sulfur levels.

I have had way higher sulphuric levels than that. With no real issues .. but that was 3 years ago.

Agree with Big City Grower, don´t worry about your sulfur at the level you mentioned, just fix your K/Mg issue with the sulfate version (K-Mag), it won´t change your soil sulfur content significantly, and after some rain the sulfur level will drop (most likely).

Thanks for the advice. My pH and calcium is always a little high so I'll stay away from any lime. It was a really dry year here so I am assuming not very much Sulfur was leached out of the soil which is maybe why it's high as well. I'll go with the K-Mag and see what happens. Thanks again.
