Oh, me too please. Measuring in centimeters will make me feel as if my pumpkin is bigger than it actually is. :-)

I changed the weight tables from US to metric in 2003 when the original was still posted as an .xls file.

You can choose between an excel and a PDF-file on top of the page.
Since - for the new table - it´s only PDF right now, sorry, no way to make any adaptions.

One thousand pounds is nice, but the metric 500 kilos is much nicer. It should be the new definition of a "heavy hitter."

Also many thanks for the tables information!!!
It really helped me a lot.

By cheking in this way it seems my Werner-pumpkin has broken the local record of 105kg with around 3 kg.
With 3 kg gain per day I still have hope for 200Kg+ this year, especially with the good weatherforcast for next week.

For all pumkingrovers congratulations with the results so far!
(Through family circumstances I could not follow the board last weeks.)

Werner,
The American seeds are from Wade Wittenberg, Wisconsin.
This is the letter he send me:

"Hi Theo,
I have sent you sum of my sunflower seeds and also my pumpkin seeds from 2004 my 516 is the (1004+603 Muller) this should be a good orange cross the 466 and 379 (1004 Werner x 1076,5 Werner) also my 412 squash this is the (748 Koch+ open) it was grown next to the 899* Werner so it could have crossed with it, I also self the 1004 Werner this was a small pumpkin for genetics. The 251 won the award at Nekoosa for the best shape and color. I just cought it early in the moring, just starting to open so I hand pollinated it with its self, but can't guearantee it. I also included sum of my giant corn which was 15 ft tall and 12 in ears."

The nice round shaped and not yet orange pumpkin from Wade's seed is about 115 kg now. I crossed it with the Austalian somehow wheelshape pumpkin (no name known) which I got from Wendy Stayner, Carm Downs Victoria Australia.

The Australian pumpkin is now 102kg and grows little les than the Amarican, that one I crossed with the Werner pumpkin.

So genetically it is all not fully sure what I have.
You can try some seeds next year of my own crosses, if you like, but I surely hope to plant myself some more promissing seeds by than.
