Usually an item with this title means complaining. When it's good it has to be said too... We had no low temps since the fourth of june. Days hot, nights warm.... If the pumpkins won't be big this year, we can't blame it on the wheater, lol! Succes to all. Jos

No complains about the weather, Jos, very dry though, but we have our water supplies, isn't it?
Meanwhile, complains I have about the fruit of one of your seeds 917 (which I gave all space). It aborted at 15 kg... Ever heard such a thing at that size? and ofcourse all backup fruit I have cutted long ago.
Anyway I am trying with so many weeks delay to have new flowers open next week. I don't give up. :-) But my goal for national champion, that out of reach now.

Expecting 34 and 35°C in our area this week. Problem is nights go down to 12°C. I am covering my competition pumpkin and squash at night to even out the temperatures.
And Jos, you scared the wits out of me with 247 lbs at day 20!!!. I thought I was doing alright up till then. But 247 at day 25 is not bad at all. Could easily go way over 1000 lbs if it keeps up.

Brad, here maximum only 24C so far, ofcourse we expect higher temperature soon. Minimum we do not worry here, always above 15-16 during this time of the year here.
One question, where do I find this nice round degree symbol on my computer? So far I have tried my best to find it, but without succes.
For my pumpkins, I need two weeks more to have something to show. :-( Good luck to you all, batter that mine so far... Regards, Theo.

Jos, it`s simple. As long as we have something to complain it can hardly get worse. Once we start saying the weatgher is good, it will probably get worse. That said I think we really don`t have enough rain this year. Darn weather, lol!

Whether the weather be fine , or whether the weather be not, whether the weather be cold, or whether the weather be hot, we´ll weather the weather, whatever the weather, whether we like it or not.

We had 36°C here while I was visiting Ameland where it was only 23°C. Took the ferry back to Holland where it was 29°C. When I arrived home at 9 PM it was 33°C.
The official temperature today was 35.6 which is the hottest day ever recorded at our central weather station in July.
