Most of Europe has had a very rough year as far as weather is concerned. But there are several very big fruit here this year. I have heard of one or two big ones in England, a huge one in Belgium, three or four big ones in Sweden and two big ones in Holland.

Will the record of 1192 lbs fall? Who will grow it? What will the weight be? Let's hear your opinion.

My vote is:

Yes, it will fall (probably 3 or 4 times).

Winner: Jos Ghaye (Belgium)

1280 lbs - off the 998

Brad, Harry Poels, the pumpkin King of Limburg, has now one of estimated 490kg, not bad at all. :)

Theo; do you know what seed Harry's big one is on? The reason I ask is because he has a few of my seeds growing.
thanks steve

I received an email from his neighbour. He didn't mention a big one. You are going to need close to 600 kg for a European record though.

Theo, Jos has one over 1200 lbs now (545 kg) and he has a few weeks to go. I know of a few other fruit that might make it to 600 kg if they go (a bit) heavy.
