I have two fruit on my 552 Sherwood. One on the primary and one on a secondary. Both are at around 300 lbs, trouble is the secondary fruit is growing faster. The main vine fruit is better shape/ position and about 15 feet out
I havent been able to bring myself to cut off the secondary fruit
What to do?

Cut the secondary loose from the main vine and let them both grow.

how big is the plant....how far out on the secondary is it and is the secondary fruit closer to the stump than the main vine fruit.......I would say unless you have a World Record squash growing on this plant, grow them both........

The plant is about 400 ft2. The secondary is more like a secondary main but the fruit is out about 8 ft (yes closer to the stump) I didn't let any terchery vines grow from the secondary and the growing point burnt out of it in the heat. There is about 10 ft of vine past the secondary.

No Place Special

cut it half of or 1/3 off over 2-3 days so not to shift ALL the energy to other fruit all at once
