2005 was my first year growing GPs.. and the 'crowd favorite' turned out to be a 300lb 'giant Pear' - which never turned from green to orange. The other 'crowd favorite' was a 150lb Crooknecked yellow squash - which really LOOKED like a GPxYS hybrid..

Had the schools fighting over who got which strange giant!

Though I've saved seeds from both strange ones. And this year will actually have the soil right and watering systems up (though I managed to get 300 pounders as a rank beginner in the middle of a terrible drought/heat) I figure that I can expect double the size of this year's.... I'm still interested in any strange giant squash/pumpkins..

Have tons of room on my 'natural science farm' - and plenty of young students wanting to help (for their 4H and/or scout projects).. and PLENTY of manure from my livestock composting this winter...

If anyone has some odd Giants - and seeds to spare - I'd love to either trade some of my own strange ones, or send you an SASBE!
